We now offer Factory Direct Memorials to families we serve. Our granite memorials are brought in direct from the quarry saving families money while maintaining the highest quality controls on granite quality and workmanship.

The granite that is used is sourced from Canada, United States, China, India, and parts of Europe. All memorials are covered by the manufacturers lifetime warranty covering defects and workmanship. We carry an inventory of in stock memorials if you are trying to meet a specific timeline otherwise custom memorials are usually installed in 8 – 9 weeks from time of order.

Monument Regulations

Revised January 2020

  • Application for monument installation must be completed by monument supplier and signed by grave owner or executor/executrix before monument can be installed.

  • St. Michael’s Cemetery staff must install foundation for placement of monument. Monuments for Rosehill must be installed on concrete runner at head of grave.

  • Monument fees pertaining to Eparchial cemeteries must be paid in full before monument is to be installed.

  • St. Michael’s and Rosehill cemeteries ARE NOT responsible for damages caused by vandalism. Inquire with your home insurance provider for separate rider to cover monument damages.

  • St. Michael’s cemetery is responsible for general care of marker including re-levelling due to settling. Please inquire with Administration office.

  • All markers must comply with size restrictions set by the cemetery.

  • Absolutely No “Polished” bases permitted.

  • No Vases are permitted in front of monuments, or at the foot of graves. Vases are only permitted on base of monuments. Invertible vases are only permitted in Cremation Section as part of flat markers.

  • All monuments must be constructed of either Granite, Marble, Bronze or a combination thereof.

Upright Monuments Size Regulations

Single Adult Grave Placement

  • Monument Base maximum length of 3’ 10” and maximum width of 16”
  • Monument height including base to maximum 5’6”

*If family wishes to install monument taller than 4 feet a different monument maintenance fee will apply. Please inquire with office.

Double Adult Grave Placement

  • Monument Base maximum length of 7’10” and maximum width of 16”
  • Monument height including base to maximum 5’6”

*If family wishes to install monument taller than 4 feet a different monument maintenance fee will apply. Please inquire with office.

Triple (+) Adult Grave Placement

*For placement of monuments straddling three or more graves, please contact administration office. When a request is submitted for foundations over 8’, cemetery may require pilings to be installed at family’s expense as standard foundations may not be adequate to support weight load from monuments that cover more than two graves. Please inquire at office.

Upright Monument Placement for Child’s Grave

  • Monument Base maximum length of 2’6” and maximum width of 14”
  • Monument height including base to maximum 2’6”

Flat Marker Size Regulations

Single Adult Grave Placement

  • Maximum length of 3’6” including cement border
  • Maximum width of 20” including cement border

Cremation Grave Placement

  • Maximum length 3’6” including cement border
  • Maximum width 2’6” including cement border

Flat Marker Placement for Child’s Grave

  • Maximum length of 2’6” including cement border
  • Maximum width of 20” including cement border

Secondary Flat Marker Placement
(Markers to be placed in front of primary monument, marking a grave containing cremated remains.)

  • Maximum length of 3’ including cement border
  • Maximum width of 20” including cement border

Invertible Vases ARE NOT permitted on secondary flat markers.

*Cement borders are not mandatory and are not provided by cemetery. Please make arrangements with monument supplier for cement borders.

*Dimensions of Secondary Flat Markers (markers to be placed in front of primary monument, marking a grave containing cremated remains) may not exceed a length of 3’ including cement border and may not exceed a width of 20”including cement border. Invertible Vases ARE NOT permitted on secondary flat markers.
